Madeline in the bouncy seat

Momma introduced Madeline to the bouncy chair a few weeks back (beginning of August) and she has since become very proficient in it!

This is a video Momma made of her very first attempt in it. Such a pro she is!

Out hiking...

I took Andrew and Madeline out for a hike this evening while waiting for dinner. I clicked this one while we were all sitting down by the creek.

First (non-Momma) Haircut!

In preparation for our first day back to school next week, we took Andrew to get his first haircut not done by Momma. Nathan had to work overnight last night, so was home early and able to accompany us on the big trip.

We arrived at the Snip-Its just after their 10 AM opening, along with half of northern New Jersey. The wait wasn't too bad considering, and they have lots of fun toys available for sale just perfect to play with while waiting your turn.

Finally, time for a haircut! No problem, I don't know what everyone's all concerned about, I can do this like a pro. Just don't put that cape thing on me...

OK, still not too bad, at least a TV for me to watch, but I was not too happy about all that water she sprayed on my hair. I usually get to use the spray bottles around here...

Hey that razor sounds like Daddy's and it tickles!

Finally done, and I get to redeem my bracelet for a toy!

A picture outside of our newly trimmed little man. Note: 'We're done already, why do I have to stay here for Daddy to take another picture!'

Miss Bunny has arrived!

Madeline playing in her bouncee seat this morning with her new Miss Bunny (#1). Miss Bunny (#1 through 4) arrived in the mail last night. Thanks Nana! Andrew has also rediscovered Mr Lion, who has taken on a new level of importance as Madeline takes interest in her Miss Bunny. :)

Bath time with our new dinosaurs

A few pictures of the new dinosaurs from our museum trip today. Also, Andrew's first bath in "Jaz's tub" this evening.

A picture of the viewing gallery!

American Museum of Natural History

Andrew has become quite interested in dinosaurs lately, almost approaching his love of diggers (almost...). So on this beautiful Sunday morning we decided to drive into Manhattan and make a visit to the American Museum of Natural History, http://www.amnh.org/.

Currently one of the special exhibits is 'Lizards & Snakes Alive!', which we also got tickets for... after all the only thing better than going to see dinosaurs, is getting to see dinosaurs and lizards and snakes!!

On our way to 'Lizards & Snakes Alive!' we first went through a few of our favorite halls, including the Hall of Biodiversity (we should have taken a picture, and will next time, it's amazing to see) and Hall of Ocean Life.

Nathan with Andrew and Madeline before we went into 'Lizards & Snakes Alive!'.

Then we went up to the Fourth Floor for dinosaurs!

Andrew enjoyed getting to see all the bones, and was able to touch a huge mammoth thigh bone they have out for kids to touch and feel. Once we finished on the Floor, it was off to lunch in the cafeteria and a stop at the Museum Store. Andrew did very well looking at all the dinosaurs in the store and finally deciding on one... ok, three, but they were little and not too expensive, so three dinosaurs it is! A fun museum visit for all, and naps for the smallest two of our party on the way back home.

Roxbury Beach Visit

We were able to make a trip to the local Roxbury town lake yesterday with Keri, Matthew and Delaney. The weather was hot, and no breeze, but the lake water was cool.

Andrew and Matthew fish hunting (along with every other child above the age of 2 at the lake!).

Matthew: "LOOK! A snail!!"
Andrew: "Aaaaahhh!"

Take a look at this!

Let's show Momma(s)!

New posts

Besides today, look back at new 7/22 & 7/9!

Hats, hats, hats!

Andrew has a lot of fun playing with his many different hats. Recently his hats had taken a backseat to his interest in diggers. While that is still true, Andrew has discovered that the one thing Madeline can play with him is HATS! So, Andrew now has a lot of fun dressing himself and Madeline up in different hats. Here are some pictures from a recent play session.
