Little morning talker

Madeline has been sleeping in the co-sleeper in our room since she has come home from the hospital and had really started to 'Goo' and 'Gah' up a storm in the mornings!

She sleeps later than her brother pretty much every day, so when Andrew calls out for his morning "Daddy! Daaaaaddy! Cum 'ere Daddy!" She just sleeps through it oblivious to the calls of her brother to be helped out of his bed.

This morning Andrew 'slept in' to 6am, so we were all happy about that! But since we are usually up at 5am of course your body tells you to get up and start listening for his calls, so though he slept in, Daddy still got to listen to Madeline's sighs and little sounds as she would wake up for a bit, look around and then go back to sleep next to Momma.

I looked back in the posts for Andrew, and they are both tracking pretty evenly for their verbal development, but the one thing that I can say is that she has taken to looking around much earlier than Andrew had. I still remember the second day in the hospital watching her try to bobble her head around, and it has only gotten stronger every passing week.

She has pretty good control for a fair period of time and then gets a little tired, but always wants to be 'exploring' the world with her eyes whenever she is awake.

So neat to see them grow up and have such different little quirks between them. Be it nature, nurture, or just the fact that we are now 'experienced' parents and have a little more time to enjoy them without checking books, web pages, or calling family and friends with little questions!

But boy can she coo and gah! They are almost like sighs in the morning as she stretches out her little legs and arms. So cute!
