The trip to the drive-in that wasn't

We spent this morning doing some cleaning out of "stuff" in the basement. That meant play time, and snack time for the kids in the basement as well. Here Andrew, Madeline and I are enjoying some snack time from Andrew's downstairs "table" - the red chair.


Then, after nap time we decided to check out the schedule for the drive-in and try to make it for a movie. Wall-E was still playing, and so we packed up into the car for the drive up to Warwick.


Except it started to rain as we were driving up... So, even though Andrew was very excited to see the big TV outdoors, and watch the 'digger robot' as he is calling Wall-E, we tried to convince him ice cream and playing with glow sticks was a better use of the evening...






Which, believe it or not, was NOT enough of a substitute for the promise of outdoors BIG TV and 'digger robot.' So, we pulled out a stop past Daddy's work for drawing on the white boards and playing with the 'little balls,' a.k.a. foosball.









That finally was enough, sort of, to close out the evening. Then off for home and bed...
